hearWHO
Mobile app for hearing screening
Based on validated digits-in-noise technology, the hearWHO app developed solely by hearX Group, gives the general public access to a hearing screener to check their hearing status and monitor it over time. Screening languages include English, Mandarin and Spanish.
A recent study reported the hearWHO app’s global uptake and performance as a global initiative in hearing health promotion. The study found that digital mHealth tools, such as hearWHO, provide many benefits in healthcare, including health promotion, access to information, and services for hearing loss. The hearWHO test reached almost 250,000 people in 191 countries in just over two years. Persons using the test were typically younger adults, which positions it as an important tool for public health advocacy and prevention for hearing loss.
More than 263,800 app installs since launch
