Thirty-one companies, including EXAIR Corporation, Haws Corporation, hearX Group, Ironclad Performance Wear, Honeywell and National Safety Apparel to mention a few, were recently selected as winners in the Occupational Health & Safety Magazine’s 13th annual “New Product of the Year’’ contest.
“If there is one thing that has been learned in the past 18 months, it is that organisations need to prioritise the health and safety of their workers in order to have productive, effective businesses,” OH&S editor Sydny Shepard said. “Manufacturers in the safety industry have long worked to provide compliant and innovative products and services to advance worker protection around the country, and this year is no different. It is thrilling to see further developed technology and products year after year, and I am so glad we have the opportunity to award those who are working to make occupational injuries and fatalities a thing of the past.”
This year’s contest attracted entries in 34 award categories, with an independent panel of highly qualified judges choosing the winners.
We are happy to announce that hearX Group’s hearTest Occ Health solution was selected as the overall winner in the hearing protection category. hearTest Occ Health is a certified tablet-based audiometry solution that allows for fast, reliable and cost-effective workplace hearing tests. This portable and robust solution is compliant to RSA OHASA, AS/NZS, UK HSE and USA OSHA standards, ensuring that occupational health and safety professionals remain compliant to international standards and making day-to-day operations easier and more convenient.
This award program gives an excellent look into the scope of the safety market as well as its undying commitment to worker safety.”
